Will be posting later ! Financial Update !

I can't believe that the link for SYNOVATE on the left hand side pays so generously. I have been deep in thought today and while exploring these advertisers on my site I feel that I can quite happily say disregard the others and if you have a few minutes here and there then sign up to Synovate.

I signed up, filled in two surveys and got £6 ! That's in less than 20 minutes.
I have also signed up for some product tests. My wife does a lot of product testing of baby products and not only do we get to keep them for free but we get money off vouchers for future purchases.

You couldn't make a living out of it but at least you get to have your say on different issues, get some money and some stuff for free. Better than playing games or typing random things in to google.

More food coming later I promise.

And hopefully not cock flavour soup !

Also behind the Argos banner is A free years shopping at ASDA and a chance to test products for free.
My wife does all these while she is at home with the baby and you can really make it pay. Something to keep you entertained while I am am otherwise engaged

Beans on Toast, Chinese Take away.

Had a pretty crappy day. I am having Sunday as a rest day so no blog and with a bit of luck staying in bed most of the day and then restart my life again on Monday.

I didn't have any breakfast as I wanted to get my work done and dusted before lunchtime so I could have the rest of the day to myself.

Lunch - Work over and time for something to eat. The ultra quick standby and great British favourite of Baked Beans on toast with plenty of HP sauce.
Beans on Toast

What a bonza lunch. Lots to do in the afternoon so I was out and about trying to get things done. I felt really shattered from a hard weeks work and the baby has been quite unwell so we have been to the emergency doctors and running around to get medication for her.

Tea - We are all tired and nobody wanted to cook. The baby needs constant attention and we are all starving. We haven't had a take away for ages and this was the time to break the trend.
Every ones favourite is Chinese so it was decided.

Chinese Take Away

That is a terrible photograph and doesn't do the fantastic food justice at all. I had an absolute feast, Peking Duck, Chips, Boiled Rice, Vegetable Spring Roll, Prawn Crackers and Vegetable Curry.
I had about 3 plates in all but I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take anymore photographs. It was delicious, not a single thing was less than perfect and all for a bargain price too. The Joy Inn, Wolverhampton really is the best Chinese take away we have ever tried.

What could you have to finish off a meal like this ? Banana Fritters ? Fruit Salad ? Cream Cake ?
How about a nice early Easter Egg !
An Easter Egg

That Easter egg was delicious even though a little indulgent. I ate the whole lot and hardly stopped to chew or breathe.

Non of this rambling tomorrow. Sunday is my first day off this year and I plan to spend as much of it in bed, spending time with my chickens or talking on my radio as I can. I will not be taking photographs and I will not be filling in this blog.
Have a great day and hopefully catch up Monday

Honey on Toast, Posh Cheese on Toast, Posh Cheese on Toast, Posh Cheese on Toast,Posh Cheese on Toast

What a great day. You can never have too much of a good thing and after yesterdays fantastic breakfast of honey on toast I decided to have it again today.

Honey on Toast

Lunch was non existent, I was really busy at work and didn't have time to eat so I phoned the wife and ordered an early tea. Our meals of late seem to be a little lack lustre so they definitely need perking up a bit.

Tea - Posh cheese on toast with, tomato puree, mature cheddar cheese, onion and Italian Herbs. A few mixed leaves, a chopped tomato and a few slices of cucumber completed the dish.
Posh Cheese on Toast

Some More

And Some More

Quite a lot of cheese and quiet a lot of bread today. I had plenty of drinks too and not any chocolate or crisps which is always a good thing. I was out again this evening at the Tetenhall and District Horticultural Society meeting. There wasn't a great turn out but the topic was very interesting. Preparing vegetables for showing. Not every ones cup of tea but it was right up my street and to be honest what this chap didn't know about showing vegetables wasn't worth knowing. He really knew his stuff a showed us the pictures to prove it !

Goodnight

Honey on Toast, Sweet & Sour Quorn, More Sweet & Sour Quorn

Had a good day but was out very late last night. It was the Wolverhampton Amateur Radio Society AGM and as a member I really wanted to attend.

Breakfast - A change is as good as a rest they say so I fancied some toast but what do you put on t ? After much deliberation I opted for lashings of butter and a drizzle of runny organic honey.
Honey on Toast & a Mug of Tea

Very tasty indeed. Don't ask me how they know the honey is organic unless they put really long light leads on the bees or a massive wall all around the fields. Anyway it was very nice all the same.

Lunch - This was a bit of a non starter really. I was on the way back to work and hadn't got anything prepared so I grabbed 2 packets of crisps and a Snickers bar and off I went. A bit sad really but I suppose If you don't plan ahead then this is what you end up with.

Tea - Well I was quite behind today, I spent longer at work than I should but I had lots to do and also plenty of extras to be getting on with. This meant I was rushing to get home and showered and then out for the Wolverhampton Radio Society AGM. Tea was Quorn Pieces in Sweet & Sour sauce with noodles and wedges. But I hadn't got time to get it cooked. Especially as my lad had a friend round after school and I had already cooked Fishcakes, mash and mushy peas for them. Only one thing for it !
Mash & Ketchup in a Saucepan

Left over mash and tomato ketchup, no kidding this tastes absolutely great. I haven't had mash and ketchup since I was a kid and forgot how good it tastes. Even better straight out of the warm saucepan and saves on space in the dishwasher.

I did have time to make the sweet & Sour but didn't get time to sit down and eat it. My wife was having trouble putting the baby to bed too so I grabbed a small bowl full and swallowed it as quickly as I could.

Quorn Sweet & Sour with Wedges

Not a bad snack to be getting on with until later. I planned to have the rest when I got home whatever time that would be.

Sweet & Sour Quorn, Noodles and Wedges

I ate that last plate at around 11 o'clock last night and was absolutely shattered so went to bed straight after it. I must eat some more fruit today and try and drink some more fluids. Back to work now, talk to you all again later.

Bacon Sandwich, Chees and Homemade coleslaw Sandwich

Today was a busy day. I got to work early so I could get a good head start on the day, everything went well and I think am starting to make a difference. I didn't have any breakfast at home but after all the talk of bacon sandwiches last night I promised myself one for an early lunch. I went to the local cafe and ordered Bacon, Tomato, Mushrooms and Brown Sauce on Crusty Bread.
Bacon, Tomato, Mushrooms & Brown Sauce on Crusty Bread

The photograph really doesn't do it justice, it was fantastic and I enjoyed every morsel of it. On the downside the meat was neither free range or organic but I can only do so much and go so far. For the eagle eyed among you that is one of my own plates. In the quest not to look like a complete freak I thought it best to order the sandwich to take away and photograph it in the privacy of my own home.

Tea - Well after having a very late breakfast I also had to have a very early tea which meant lunch was just cancelled out. Tea was very simple and as a matter of fact my wife had made it for my lunch but because of my evening appointment and late breakfast it was put in the fridge for tea.

Cheese & Homemade Coleslaw Sandwich

A good early tea. A couple of slices of cucumber and a tomato with black pepper on make a real difference and the Snickers bar after really rounded it of superbly. ( I am a man of simple pleasures ) There is half a glass of Robinson's Orange squash top right. I drink 6 - 10 full glasses of this stuff a day, plus tea and coffee too. As for the chocolate, I really can't get enough of the stuff since I have started this new job, I am having at least one and sometimes 2 bars everyday.

Over the past few years I have given up the fags and all alcohol and I suppose the next logical thing on the list will be Crisps. The only problem is I can't enjoy a sandwich without them and being as half of my meals are sandwiches that is a very big change. I don't think the artificial sweetener in the squash does you much good either but I will save that for another day.
Thanks for the e-mails of support about giving up my vices and the positive changes I have made in my life and diet. I am trying very hard to consume more fruit and vegetables.
Tomorrow I fancy a homemade egg and cheese flan ( quiche ) and plenty of salad. I need to get it made first thing though because I am out at the Wolverhampton Amateur Radio Society Annual General Meeting tomorrow night.

Until tomorrow...............

Feeling tired, Chips and Coleslaw, Pasta and Vegetables. Fags and Booze

I woke up this morning completely shattered. I didn't want to get out of bed so left it until the last minute before I went to work. I didn't have any breakfast and only had a Snickers chocolate bar and some strong coffee mid morning.

Lunch - This was very hurried and not very satisfying. I had half a bag of chips and a couple of slices of bread and butter with some homemade leftover coleslaw.
Chips, Coleslaw, Bread& Butter

I ate that lot in 2 minutes flat and dashed back to work. Not the greatest of lunches but it served a purpose. I felt really shattered today so when I got back I just went to bed and slept for 3 hours.

Tea - While I was sleeping my wife made tea. Vegetables and pasta. I am a firm believer that you cannot get enough of a goo thing so I am proving a point here by eating this meal for about the 8Th time in the last 3 weeks. I must try and add a bit more variety to my diet.
Vegetables & Pasta

That's it for today, nothing more and nothing less. I have had plenty of drinks though but I just feel exhausted.
On a better note I have got some great adverts appearing on my site now so feel free to take a look. I am alcohol free now so that is quite well placed. If only I had written this food diary about 10 years ago it would of consisted of

Breakfast - Fried bacon sandwich x 2 ( 4 Rashers of bacon per sandwich )
Lunch - About 4 or 5 pints of Bank's bitter and burger and chips.
Tea - Another 10 - 12 pints of Bank's Bitter or Guinness maybe some chips

All of this complimented by anywhere between 40 - 60 Embassy No1 Cigarettes and maybe a couple of whiskies.

It's a wonder I am still alive and so good looking.

Food for thought..............................

Crumpets, Fish ,Mash & Homemade Coleslaw

Another good day today. Up and busy, plenty of fresh air and some good food along the way.
Breakfast was 3 mugs of coffee and a Snickers bar. I had an early lunch though.

Lunch - I came home for lunch, it was a working lunch as I had plenty of work to do on the computer. Cleaning rotas, working hours etc etc.
Crumpets, Beans, Cheese & Brown Sauce

My wife made this for me which was a real treat. I love beans and cheese and I love crumpets so put them all together and you have a great combination. What a terrific lunch.

Tea - I forgot the olive oil when I went shopping on Sunday so I couldn't do Roasts to go with the fish so we had mash and homemade coleslaw instead.

Breaded Haddock, Mash and Homemade Coleslaw

What a super tea, even if I do say it myself. I forgot to take a picture of the second plate full I had but I am sure you can imagine what it was like, another piece of fish the same size as that and only half as much mash.

Supper - Well i know I have eaten a lot today but I still fancied some supper, I opted for the the traditional favourite of bread and butter, Dairy lea and Crisps.
Bread, Butter, Dairy Lea & Crisps

The closest I got to a piece of fruit today was a packet of rowntree fruit gums and a glass of orange juice. I will try and do better tomorrow. I have saved some of the coleslaw for a cheese and coleslaw sandwich tomorrow.

Fingers crossed I can get myself motivated tomorrow.

Cereal, Sausage Roast Dinner

My first day off so I had a lie in until 9 and watched match of the day. I didn't fancy any breakfast which in hind sight was a mistake because by 11 I had eaten 3 bags of crisps and a snickers bar !

Lunch - Not in the mood for cooking or even eating I decided that I had better have something to eat for lunch and also make a bit of an effort for tea .
Rice Crispies & Banana

Only a light lunch, if I had been bothered to have this for breakfast then I wouldn't of eaten all those bloody crisps ! I better make up for it at tea time.

Tea - I really pulled my finger out and got my head round cooking tea. It was free range organic sausages for us and vegetarian sausages for my wife. I don't buy many joints of meat as because of the cost and the very low quality of supermarket and butcher meat. I prefer to by my meat from a local small holding where I can spend time with the animals and check on their welfare. I whole heartedly believe that this is the best meat I can buy. The sausages freeze well and last for a long time so they are always a great option me.
Roast Dinner

There we have it. 3 Sausages, Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, Roast Carrots, Stuffing, Broccoli and Cauliflower. That is a good meal by any ones standards. The only problem I have is that I really don't know when I have had enough so after I polished that lot off I had some more with a few dabs of mint sauce for extra flavour.
Roast Dinner 2

Well after finishing that lot off I was fit to burst so I settled down for the evening and watched BBC 1. I only really watch TV on Sundays, Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and then Lark Rise to Candleford. Clean the kitchen down and then watch match of the day in bed. I really do live the life of an international rock star !
I also finished off the pink iced cake my wife made yesterday so all told I personally ate over half of it . What a life !

Until tomorrow...............

Tomatoes on Toast, Beans on Toast, Pasta & Homemade Cakes

I was at work this morning which is a bit of a bummer as I am on a salary and don't get anything extra for it. Anyway I suppose I am in work which is not a bad thing and beggars can't be choosers.

Breakfast - The heroes breakfast of tomatoes on toast. Tinned tomatoes are only 60p a can and we usually have a loaf in so it's a cheap option.
Tomatoes on Toast

A lot of food for the start of the day but it stops me snacking in between meals. After all that bread you would think I fancied something different for lunch but unfortunately due to lack of funds and no time to go shopping I ended up with a crust of beans on toast.

Beans on Toast

Tea - After all that bread it was time for something a bit different, Vegetable pasta and cheese with a splash of tomato and basil sauce.

Pasta, Vegetables & Cheese

A great tea really, plenty of courgettes, peppers and onions and not forgetting the half a block of cheddar.
In between all those carbs I did snack on an apple, a banana and some sultanas. However there is a plus side to being low on funds, it gives you an opportunity to express your creativity and my wife did this excellently by rustling up some amazing cakes
An Amazing Sponge Covered in Butter cream

As if that wasn't good enough she also made a batch of fairy cakes at the same time, they were all really tasty and made good use of the flour hanging round in the cupboards and the plentiful supply of fresh free range organic eggs we have from the garden.
Butterfly Cakes

Well hopefully those cakes should last a few days but in all honesty I can't see them hanging around after Monday in our house though. Plenty of tea to wash them down and I will be sitting pretty for the rest of the weekend. Must get some potatoes tomorrow and hopefully have some sausage and mash and vegetables, I will pop up to Muddy Footprints farm shop in the morning and see what they have on offer.

Until Tomorrow.......................

Cereal, Cheese & Branston Sandwich, Homemade Quiche

I was up in plenty of time today and even managed breakfast and half an hour on the radio before I went to work !

Breakfast - A bowl of Kellog's rice crispies with a banana sliced on top and plenty of ice cold organic semi skimmed milk.
Cereal, Banana and a Mug of Tea

A pretty good start to the day and really tasty. I feel a lot better now and the early morning starts and lighter evenings are really doing my mental health some good too.

Lunch - Well home for lunch and I fancied a cheese sandwich. I was pretty hungry and so made a few. I finished the jar of shallots yesterday and I have only got a couple of jars left so it was just crisps today i am afraid.
Cheese Sandwiches

Added to these were a few generous spoons of Branston Pickle and a packet of walkers crisps. I also had an apple and a hand full of sultanas. Quite a good lunch really. Six slices of bread, half a block of cheese and a packet of crisps. I consulted Marjorie Doors and she said its not all bad.

Tea - I cooked tea tonight and made a quiche from scratch. First the shortcrust pastry and then the filling. 4 fantastic free range eggs and half a pint of milk. The other half of the block of cheese left over from lunchtime
2 onions fried and a large tomato. Accompanied by homemade roast potatoes and some Heinz baked beans.
Homemade Quiche

So nice that I couldn't resist another slice,

The Second Slice

I have eaten a fair bit today but still feel quite well. I have had plenty of fluids and also quite a lot of sweets. 4 packets of rowntrees fruit gums. Anyway at least I will be able to finish the rest off that are stuck round my gums later .

Until tomorrow............................

Ham & Tomato Sandwich, Banana Sandwich, Vegetable Pasta

I didn't get up too early so just had a banana and mars bar for breakfast, oh and a strong cup of coffee to dip the mars bar in. Plenty of exercise today and a good sense of well being from a job well done.

Lunch - This was a two pronged affair, the first half consisted of a ham and tomato sandwich with a couple of home pickled shallots and a packet of crisps. Very tasty.
Ham & Tomato Sandwich

The second half of my lunch was two hand fulls of sultanas and an apple. I just felt so hungry today. I really wanted to eat but was trying to steer clear of the usual crisps and chocolate bars.

Tea - This evening we needed something quick and simple, I sliced and lightly fried in olive oil 2 courgettes, 2 onions a green pepper and a4 cloves of garlic. This was stirred in to the freshly cooked organic pasta and sprinkled with grated mature cheddar cheese.
Vegetable Pasta & Cheese

I was out late again this evening and felt quite peckish when I got home so again tried the healthy option and went for a banana sandwich with a sprinkle of black pepper on heavily buttered brown bread.
A Banana Sandwich

Not a bad day overall, a good amount of fruit and veg and plenty of fluids too. I am off to bed now because I have got a really early start again tomorrow. Just enough time to squeeze in a low a cadbury's hot chocolate before I climb the wooden hill.

Until tomorrow........................

Bacon & Tomato Sandwich, Vegetable Stir Fry.

A better day food wise and plenty of outdoor activities. I was out of the house just after 7 this morning and felt pretty good about it.
I had a cup of coffee and a mars bar for breakfast and felt great.

Lunch - A Bacon and Tomato Sandwich from the local cafe. A squirt of brown sauce and it was complete.
Bacon & Tomato Sandwich

Not a bad start to lunch. It was quickly followed by a packet of crisps and a banana. The supermarket shopping was done and I remembered the Sultanas which is great news. On the down side though I did forget the tea bags which is a bit of a wounder.

Tea - Another banana and an apple. Then I had to cook for everyone. Vegetable stir fry was the order of the day and it is really quick and easy to cook especially when served with the quick cook noodles made by Sharwoods.
Vegetable Stir Fry

That was really nutritious and satisfying. Lots of soy sauce but I didn't have seconds. Just a slice of rocky road that my wife had made earlier in the week. I am feeling a bit better but not 100% yet. Some more exercise and plenty of fruit and vegetables and I should be running at full strength again. Thanks for all the e-mails from well wishers.

Man Flu ! Cheese & Potato Pie and Rocky Road

It was hard to get up today because I didn't get much sleep last night. Blocked nose, sore throat, my eyes wouldn't stop running and I felt like my head was stuck in a vice !

Breakfast was several cups of tea, lots of Robinson's fruit and barley water and a banana.

Lunch was strange to say the least.
Fried Onion and Cheese Sandwich

Well dear viewers that picture above is a fried onion and cheese sandwich. I had a squirt of tomato sauce and another slice of bread on top and that was complete. Not the most Orthodox of lunches but I was making a cheese, potato and onion pie and burnt the onions so instead of ruining tea I ate them on a sandwich for lunch. It certainly helped clear my sinus's.

Tea - As I said I made cheese and potato pie for tea earlier in the day. It was delicious and absolutely loaded with mature cheddar and pepper.
Cheese & Potato Pie, Fish and Baked Beans

Well Cheese and Potato Pie wouldn't be Cheese and Potato Pie without half a tin of baked beans. I thought I would throw on a chunk of bread crumbed cod for good measure too. My wife had vegetable fingers ( she is vegetarian )
Save the animals and eat a vegetarian as the saying goes !

By my standards that was a very small portion, hardly enough to keep a bird alive really. Good job my wife was on form and made a fridge cake for pudding.
Fridge Cake ( Rocky Road )

In that rocky road cake is half a block of butter, Two blocks of chocolate, half a tub of glace cherries and a packet of Maryland Chocolate Chip Cookies oh and some mixed dried fruit. I can feel my arteries hardening already ! That was lovely, really lovely. The only problem is it's about 600 calories a slice.

See you all tomorrow if I make it through the night.

Still Feeling ill !

Today was a bit of a non starter. Hardly got any sleep last night and I had a terrible morning this morning. I feel emotionally and physically drained. So much so that I have spent most of the day in bed.

Breakfast - Nothing

Lunch - Nothing

Tea - A jacket potato with roasted vegetables, grated cheese and lots of garlic.

Jacket Potato & Roasted Vegetables

Yes that is a giant jacket potato and quite a lot of roasted vegetables, 2 peppers, a courgette, 2 onions and 4 cloves of garlic. I had a good hand full of cheese thrown over the top of that lot too.
I ate it all but that was the only food I had today.

Off to bed now, I hope I feel better tomorrow,

Feeling ill, Cheese and Houmous Sandwich, Fish Cakes and Chips

No wonder I felt so fed up yesterday, I returned home yesterday evening and felt really under the weather. I woke up late today and was so blocked up I couldn't breathe.
I didn't eat any breakfast and by lunchtime I still didn't feel very hungry but my wife made me a cheese and houmous sandwich with a packet of crisps and some home pickled shallots.
Cheese & Houmous Sandwich with Crisps and Shallots

It's the same as I had yesterday but you can't look a gift horse in the mouth. I would eat the same food everyday if it was made for me. It took some getting down though. I always find it hard to eat when I have got a cold. All that breathing through the mouth while chewing really puts me off.

Tea - I couldn't be bothered to do anything but everyone has to eat. My wife cooked some fishcakes and baked beans and I kept my eye on them while she got some chips from the chip shop.
Fish cakes, Chips and baked beans

That is a dollop of mayonnaise between the fish cakes. I managed to eat it all but I just seem to want chocolate and crisps. I feel really ill. Just think I was going to try and eat loads of fruit today but I have failed in spectacular fashion.
I cancelled all appointments today but still had plenty of telephone calls to make. I have got 2 appointments tomorrow, one in the morning and one in the evening so I hope I can get some sleep tonight.

Cheese and Houmous Sandwich, Quorn Curry and Noodles

A bit of a strange day food wise, I was up early but didn't fancy any breakfast. Unfortunately by 10am I was starving and ended up eating two packets of Walkers Crisps and a banana. Not a good breakfast by any ones standards.

Lunch - I really wasn't interested in food today. I didn't have an appointment until early evening and I just squandered my time up until then.
Cheese & Houmous Sandwich with Home Pickled Shallots

This is my half hearted attempt at lunch, I really couldn't get myself motivated today. It was jalapeno pepper houmous and some home pickled shallots that I made back in September.

Tea - I couldn't even be bothered to do a proper tea. I was looking forward to a homemade quiche and garlic roast potatoes but instead ended up with a few pieces of quorn in a jar of curry sauce and some noodles
Quorn Curry and Noodles

That really did taste as bad as it looks. Boring an unappetising. However it did come in at only 50p a portion so it wasn't all bad. It was pretty good for the waistline too because all I ate was that bit there and went out.
With a small portion for lunch and uninteresting tea I did feel a bit peckish when I got home. Not to break the trend I had an equally uninspiring supper consisting of a Snickers chocolate bar, a mug of tea and 2 slices of brown bread toast.
Supper !

Lets hope I can pull my finger out tomorrow and get some cooking done. I have only got one appointment and that is in the morning so that gives me plenty of scope to be creative for the rest of the day.
A bit of fruit and veg wouldn't go a miss either, no wonder I feel so down in the dumps.

Here's to tomorrow and all that it brings ........................

Fried Breakfast, Light Lunch, Vegetables, Pasta & Garlic Bread

Had a good day today. Starting to feel a bit better in myself but have a feeling that may change by the end of the week ! However I did manage a good breakfast again today.
A Fried Breakfast

Just the job to start the day, a whole punnet of button mushrooms, 2 rashers of streaky bacon, a pile of black pudding and a free range organic egg from the garden. 2 thickly buttered brown bread toast and a large squirt of Heinz tomato ketchup to round things off nicely.

Lunch - It was a bit of a let down after a breakfast like that. I managed a few bread sticks and some houmous.
Bread sticks and houmous

A very light lunch by my standards and by mid afternoon I was really flagging. The only solution was a very strong coffee and a Snickers bar. It seemed to do the trick because I had a very productive afternoon.

Tea - I fancied something a bit different and we hadn't had pasta for ages so I chopped up a couple of Buffalo Onions and courgettes and lightly fried them with some fresh cloves of finely chopped garlic. I then stirred these in to the cooked pasta tubes and topped with a splash of tomato and basil sauce and a sprinkle of cheese. Half a garlic baguette on the side and the dish was complete.
Vegetable Pasta & Garlic Bread

A very nice, quick and simple tea that was enjoyed by all.

Looking at these recent posts I am very low on fruit intake and also forgot to by SULTANAS again when I was at the supermarket. Anyway I shall try and remedy this situation tomorrow with some healthier meals and a higher fruit and vegetable intake or I might just stuff myself self stupid again. Who Knows ?

Only tomorrow..................

Full English Breakdast. No Lunch, Sausage & Mash.

Today was the day, I was up very early and even though I had an early morning appointment I couldn't resist cooking the long awaited Full English Breakfast.
My Full English Breakfast

There it is in all it's glory, 2 rashers of streaky bacon, 2 free range pork sausages, 5 slices of black pudding ( the best tasting black pudding I have ever had ! ) a 1/3 of a tin of baked beans, a free range organic fried egg from my own hens and 2 slices of buttered brown toast. A breakfast truly fit for a king. Accompanied by a mug of strong tea and I don't think you could have a better start to a day.

Lunch - After that breakfast I didn't bother with lunch. I just carried on straight through until tea time.

Tea - Continuing the theme of locally bought products from " Essington Fruit Farm " I decided on sausage and mash for tea. I had purchased ( after sampling in the shop ) Some fantastic lamb and mint sausages. They really are something to savour. A pile of mashed potatoes with butter and milk, some sprouts and a few carrots and it is the stuff that dreams are made of.
Sausage & Mash with Sprouts and Carrots

What a lovely meal, those sausages really were superb. I only had the one plate of tea as had to be out this evening so didn't have time for anymore but if I had then I would have if you know what I mean ?
Anyway after being out all evening I fancied a little something while I was writing this so had a few Hob Nob biscuits and a mug of tea. Beautiful.
Hob Nobs and Tea

A nice bit of supper, you can see 5 biscuits in the photograph but the crumbs of the sixth one so no pulling punches when its all on film eh.... ?
